Bridge Tidbinbilla Outing, 19th September

The Bridge is going to Tidbinbilla! We’ll be going on leisurely walks, having a picnic, playing games and looking out for Australian animals.

We will provide snacks but please bring your own lunch and water bottle.

Looking forward to seeing you there in this lovely Spring weather!

Please RSVP by 17th September. We will meet at 10am at ANU College.

  • Time: We will leave Canberra Friday evening (28th) and arrive back Sunday evening (30th). Monday (1st October) is a public holiday, so you can catch up on study after the retreat!

Cost: $115 (includes all accommodation and meals, except you will need to bring money for dinner Friday night, and petrol contributions)

Location information: The campsite is located in the bush about 100mins away from Canberra. We will be sleeping in cabins (separate for male/female). There won’t really be any access to Internet or any mobile phone reception, but this will be a great opportunity to get to know each other better face to face!

Activities: We will have a few talks from the Bible, have discussions in small groups, take walks in the bush, have a bonfire, eat together, play some games, see some wildlife…a great experience and great fun!

If you have any more questions, or if money is a problem, you can call Daniel at 0466 900 145.

Here is a rough program outline of the retreat!

Tidbinbilla Outing

We’re going to Tidbinbilla for a day out!

The plan is to meet outside ANU College at 10 AM. From there, we will drive down to Tidbinbilla. When we arrive, we will go for a walk. We’ll then relax and eat lunch together, before going for another walk. We’ll leave Tidbinbilla in time to be home by 4 PM.

Tidbinbilla is a beautiful place with many walking trails that have great views of the ACT. It also has lots of unique Australian wildlife (like koalas, wombats and platypuses) and Aboriginal heritage sites. We’ll try to choose walks with as many interesting things as possible! 🙂

It should be lots of fun! Please bring a bottle of water, good walking shoes, and a sandwich for lunch. Please also bring $5 to help cover petrol costs and the entrance fee.

If you’re coming, please sign up on the website by Thursday April 20th!

Please note that due to bad weather forecast that we’ve had to postpone the outing. We’ll put up details of the new date with a new signup form from 27/4. Thanks for understanding.

Uncover Mark

Are you interested in learning more about Jesus, the Bible and Christianity?

Uncover Mark involves six one-hour sessions looking into Jesus and his message from the Bible in the Gospel according to Mark.

Together with one other person (so three people in total) we will meet at a time and place that works for you, to read and discuss key passages from Mark’s Gospel – an account of one of the first eyewitnesses to Jesus. No prior knowledge needed and there’s a chance to ask your questions.
